yssa-logo-orangeThe Henry Repeating Arms Company generously donated 200 Henry Lever Action Youth .22 rifles to the Youth Shooting Sports Alliance (YSSA). The rifles will be used to create a special YSSA 2014 edition to support the vital mission of the YSSA.

“We recognize the importance of the YSSA as a means of efficiently providing equipment support in behalf of youth shooting sports program efforts nationwide to recruit and retain new shooters and hunters” said Anthony Imperato, President of Henry Repeating Arms Co. Imperato added “We are proud to partner with the Youth Shooting Sports Alliance in continuing Henry’s long history of support of youth shooting sports programs. We know that we can count on the YSSA to utilize the funds generated by the sale of this special edition of rifles in support of programs that have the greatest potential return on our industry’s investment based on their potential for growth and participation.”

The Henry Lever Action Youth Model .22 rifle is a lightweight and compact version of the Henry Lever Action rifle. It’s ideal for young shooters, or for adults who desire a compact rifle in the field. Overall length is 33″ and length of pull is 13″. It weighs only 4½ pounds. It features a genuine American walnut stock, the famous Henry smooth action, and a grooved receiver for scope mounting.

The YSSA 2014 edition will consist of only 200 rifles with a custom serial number range of 14YSSA0001 to 14YSSA0200. Baron Technology, Inc. embellished the stock of the rifle with the engraving “One of 200 in support of the” atop the YSSA logo.

The YSSA 2014 Edition of the Henry Lever Action Youth .22 rifle will be sold by Ellett Brothers, a subsidiary of United Sporting Companies. All proceeds from the sale of these rifles will go directly to the YSSA. “We believe there’s no better way to ensure the shooting sports industry continues to thrive than to give today’s young people access to local shooting programs, facilities and equipment that are safe, positive and inspire a lifelong passion for shooting and hunting.” said Chuck Walker, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for United Sporting Companies. “We have worked with the YSSA for several years and have been impressed with their proven record in identifying and supporting the needs of successful and safe youth programs and venues that create measurable increases in youth participation in the shooting sports.”
